DHT Holdings announced on Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement to sell three of its VLCCs.
The three vessels – 2001-built DHT Utah, 2001-built DHT Utik and 2002-built DHT Eagle – are being sold to an unidentified buyer for a total of $66.5m.
DHT Holdings plans to use about $33.5m to repay bank debt.
Two of the ships – DHT Utah and DHT Eagle should be delivered to the new owner before the end of this year and DHT Eagle should be delivered in January 2018.
After these sales, DHT’s fleet comprises 23 VLCCs (with four more under construction) plus two aframaxes.
