Eagle Bulk acquires ultramax from Lomar Shipping

US bulker operator Eagle Bulk has acquired the 2015-built ultramax bulker Queen Cuki from UK-based Lomar Shipping.

Shipbroking sources confirmed that the 63,800 dwt vessel has been sold for $20.4m and renamed Cape Town Eagle.

The sale includes a balance time charter for 12-18 months at index rate with a floor.

The latest purchase has expand the company’s owned fleet to 48 vessels, made up of 14 ultramaxes and 34 supramaxes.
