Gas hopes dashed at Port Said

Cairo: The Ministry of Transportation Ministry and the Suez Canal Authority have refused to allocate a pier at Port Said to receive a second LNG regasification vessel.

Port Said had been identified by state-run EGAS as the best location for this second FSRU.

The FSRU, which is expected to arrive in Egypt this March, is likely to be moored now at Sokhna Port.  [12/01/15]
