Goldenport linked to Shoei Kisen feeder containership

John Dragnis-led Goldenport has acquired 2010-built 1,700 teu containership Maersk Wismar, according to Seasure Shipbroking.

Goldenport has handed over $8.3m to Japan’s Shoei Kisen, Seasure Shipbroking reports, a price substantially lower than the VesselsValue market value of $13.27m. The vessel’s next survey is due in July 2020.

If confirmed, the acquisition will be Goldenport’s first in two years and grows the company’s fleet of container vessels to six. It also owns 12 bulkers.
