LA and Long Beach brace for trucker strikes

California’s top two ports are braced for disruption next week as truckers take aim at two logistics companies in a long running battle over back pay.

Warehouse workers and truck drivers at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles will start a three-day strike on Monday, targeting XPO Logistics and NFI Industries.

This is the 16th strike organised by the Teamsters at these ports in recent years, some of which have resulted in ships being turned away.
