Milaha starts first direct Europe boxship calls

Qatari line Milaha has announced plans to start its first direct container service to Europe, the last move in a series of overseas expansions the company has enacted since neighbouring Arab countries cut ties with Qatar.

The Black Sea Express Service (BSX) feeder service will link Greece, Turkey, Georgia and Russia calling at Piraeus, Istanbul, Poti and Novorossiysk. Two ships with 1,700 containers and 300 reefers capacity each will be deployed on the service.
