MSC bags Sinokor resales

Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC), the world’s largest containerline, has pounced for a pair of boxship resales in South Korea.

Alphaliner is reporting MSC has bought two Sinokor 8,000 teu ships under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries, paying $100m per unit for the vessels which will deliver in the first half of next year.

The two ships are part of a six-vessel series that Sinokor ordered in March 2022 for $98m each.
