Navigator orders midsize LPG carrier at Hyundai Mipo

Navigator Holdings has announced today that it has entered into a contract with Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Shipyard for the construction of a fully-refrigerated LPG vessel.

The vessel is to support a new long term charter signed for a midsize gas carrier.

The new vessel is scheduled for delivery in August 2017, and in the meantime Navigator will run an existing vessel to fulfil the contract.

No terms were disclosed for either the charter or shipbuilding contract.
