Nigerian shipowners form umbrella organisation

Two rival shipowner organisations have finally joined forces in Nigeria to put pressure on the government.

The Nigerian Ship Owners Association (NISA) and the Ship Owners Association of Nigeria (SOAN) have come together after years of rivalry. The move came on the back of the minister of transportation recently urging the various shipowning factions to cease fighting and form an umbrella body.

With this in mind Ship Owners Forum has been formed in Lagos.
