Sapura Energy reels in 10 new contracts

Malaysian offshore services provider Sapura Energy has landed 10 new contracts worth a total of RM1.4bn ($304.5m) for projects in the Asia Pacific and Atlantic regions.

More than 70% of the value of the combined contracts is from projects outside of Malaysia.

The E&C business segment secured RM979m in contract wins from Eni in the Republic of Congo, Chevron in Thailand, Woodside in Australia and authorities in New Zealand for work on the Tui field.

The company’s drilling unit sealed deals worth RM352m with contractors Vestigo Petroleum and Shell, as well as other contracts for four semisub tender-assist rigs. The operations and maintenance segment also reeled in RM34m in contracts, including work for Petronas.

Sapura Energy said that in addition to the contract wins, its engineering and construction team is in the midst of negotiations with clients to rescope four ongoing contracts following the changes made during project execution.
