Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad has sold its fifteen-year-old anchor handling tug supply unit Nor Spring.
The sale will result in a positive accounting effect of around NOK50m ($4.8m) in the fourth-quarter numbers.
Delivery of the 2008-built AHTS to an undisclosed buyer has already been completed.
The Singapore-flagged vessel has been in layup in Asia since 2020.
Solstad earlier carried out a widespread clearout of its non-core assets as part of the debt restructuring. Earlier this year, the company also sold its entire fleet of 37 platform supply vessels for $577m to Houston-headquartered OSV owner Tidewater.
Several laid-up anchor handlers also exited the fleet, including the 2009-built Elang Laut 1 and the 2008-built AHTS Far Sabre.
In October, Solstad Offshore struck a refinancing deal, which saw the establishment of a new parent company controlled by Kjell Inge Røkke-dominated Aker.
Solstad retained around 27% ownership of the Solstad NewCo consisting of 35 AHTS and CSV vessels. The Skudeneshavn-headquartered firm kept full ownership of the remaining business consisting of 7 AHTS and CSV vessels and 50% ownership in the Normand Installer joint venture with SBM.
