Subsea 7 forms strategic partnership with Talos Energy

Kristian Siem’s Subsea 7 has signed a three-year strategic partnership with Houston-based oil and gas firm Talos Energy to deliver new solutions for subsea engineering, construction and installation projects in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The deal will see both companies work together to progress EPCI opportunities by engaging early in the design and development phases, turning concepts into “robust and reliable” solutions that help to accelerate field development.

“This partnership makes it possible for us to approach projects with an open mind to develop the best possible solutions and better understand the project drivers, costs and capacity required to ensure predictable and successful project delivery,” said Craig Broussard, vice president for Subsea 7 in the US.

New York-listed Talos is one of the largest independent operators in the US Gulf of Mexico, with production operations, prospects, leases and seismic databases spanning the basin in both deepwater and shallow water.
