Taicang adds new terminal

Taicang Port, one of the fastest growing ports in China, has started the construction work of its new Runhe Terminal in order to expand capacity.

The terminal will be able to receive 50,000 dwt class vessels. The designed annual capacity of the terminal is 1.31m tons. The total cost of the project is RMB135m ($21.1m).

Taicang Port is a river port in Jiangsu province. It completed a cargo volume of 157m tons in 2014, up 32.45% year-on-year.
