Tanjung Offshore shareholder vows to prove his innocence

Kuala Lumpur: Tan Sri Tan Kean Soon has vowed to set the record straight and tell his side of the story regarding recent corruption allegations aimed at him and another executive of Tanjung Offshore.

Tan, a non-independent director of Tanjung Offshore, has been suspended from his paid executive position in the offshore firm along with another senior official, Muhammad Sabri Abdul Ghani regarding possible conflicts of interests and breaches of fiduciary duties.

Another paid adviser, Datuk Harzani Azmi, has been suspended for breaches in procedures and lapses in internal controls.

 “What has been told so far is only one-sided and I am certainly blameless,” Tan said in an interview with local media. Tan has an 8% stake in the firm.  [09/02/15]
