The Captain’s Table launches its fifth challenge

Today marks the beginning of the fifth edition of The Captain’s Table, one of shipping’s top innovation pitch competitions. The Hong Kong-based platform is now inviting visionary individuals from all walks of life to showcase their game-changing ideas, fostering a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and transformation.

The innovation pitch competition serves as a launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs, inventors, and dreamers who aspire to transform their groundbreaking concepts into reality in the maritime industry.

With an unwavering commitment to nurturing innovation, this unique competition will provide participants with an unparalleled opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of esteemed judges, comprised of industry leaders, venture capitalists, and seasoned entrepreneurs. With their extensive knowledge and expertise, the judges will assess each pitch based on its viability, market potential, scalability, and impact on society. The competition will not only recognise exceptional ideas but also offer valuable feedback to help participants refine and strengthen their concepts.

In addition to the honour of being selected as one of the finalists, participants will compete for a generous prize pool, which includes access to funding, legal advice, corporate partnerships, mentorship opportunities, and vital resources to help turn their business  into thriving ventures.

As in previous years Splash is the official media partner of the competition and will be televising the finals live later this year.

“We believe that innovation knows no boundaries. This pitch competition is an embodiment of our commitment to fostering an ecosystem that thrives on imagination, creativity, and collaboration. We are excited to witness the disruptive ideas and game-changing solutions that will emerge from this competition,” said Tabitha Logan, co-founder of The Captain’s Table.

As the deadline for submissions approaches, aspiring innovators are encouraged to visit The Captain’s Table website to learn more about the competition guidelines, evaluation criteria, and the opportunities that await them.
