Tropical Shipping orders four feeder boxships at Huangpu Wenchong

CSSC-affiliated Guangzhou Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding has signed shipbuilding contracts with US-based Tropical Shipping for the construction of two 1,100teu containerships and two 300teu containerships.

Delivery will start from the second half of 2017.

Tropical Shipping mainly provides cargo shipping services from Canada and South Florida to The Bahamas and The Caribbean, as well as providing inter-island transportation services throughout the region. The Miami-based company owns a fleet of 11 vessels with a carrying capacity of 4,252teu.
