Winning Shipping takes cape pair

Proof that dry bulk is on an up tick can be seen in recent secondhand deals. South Korea’s Dong-A Tanker has just sold a pair of capesizes for what Clarkson Research describes as a “firm” en bloc price of $44.6m to acquisitive Winning Shipping. The Dong-A Leto and Dong-A Ether were built in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

Clarkson Research reports that the pair were originally committed in December in a KS structure deal, which ultimately failed to materialise.

China’s Winning Shipping, which is headquartered in Singapore, was one of the top 10 largest bulker buyers for 2016.
