Wisdom Marine handymax contract cancelled

Taiwanese owner Wisdom Marine has announced that it has reached an agreement with Japanese charterers to cancel a time charter contract on a handymax vessel.

The name of the charterer was not disclosed.

Wisdom Marine will receive compensation of JPY1.45bn ($13.8m) in November.

Wisdom Marine issued new shares to raise capital for fleet expansion in September, and entered the tanker sector with two tanker orders at Japan Marine United (JMU) in June.
