Abu Sayyaf releases kidnapped Indonesian crew
Ten Indonesian seafarers were released yesterday after more than a month in captivity with Abu Sayyaf.
The Philippine militant group captured the crew from Indonesian tug Brahma 12 on March 28. The owner of the vessel, Patria Maritime Lines, had earlier agreed to pay the $1m ransom fee.
The seafarers are said to be in good health and have been taken to a military camp while arrangements are bring made to repatriate them to Indonesia.
