Angelicoussis returns to DSME for more VLCCs

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has won an order for four new 318,000 dwt VLCCs from regular customer Maran Tankers Management, a subsidiary of Angelicoussis Group.

Angelicoussis ordered three similar ships at the same yard in April, making the most of cheap deals on offer at the yard.

Angelicoussis is one of DSME’s most loyal clients, having ordered a total of 96 ships with the company – including at its Romanian subsidiary – since 1994. The Greek firm has a total of 17 ships under construction at DSME at the moment.
