Golar LNG rumoured to have won COA from Trafigura

Athens: Reports suggest that Norway’s Golar LNG may have won a contract of affreightment (COA) from commodity trader Trafigura.

The trader has taken up to six LNG vessels from the gas carrier, likely to be employed on a single-voyage basis, sources told Reuters today.

The vessels will be delivered to Trafigura from now through to August or September, the newswire said.

Each vessel may only be used for a single voyage, which sources say suggests the deal may be a COA.

The exact number of shipments remains unclear, Reuters said today.
