Great Eastern Shipping acquires secondhand supramax

India’s Great Eastern Shipping has signed a contract to acquire a 58,000 dwt supramax bulker.

The 2009-built vessel is expected to join the company’s fleet in the third quarter of 2017.

Other details of the contract were not revealed.

The company currently operates a fleet of 37 vessels, including 24 tankers and 13 bulk carriers, with an additional kamsarmax on order.
