Yang Ming president dies, aged 59

Hermann Yu, president of Yang Ming Marine Transport, a major shipping line in Taiwan, died in his sleep at home yesterday at the age of 59.

Yu had been working at Yang Ming since 1984 and became president of the company in 2013.

According to an official at Taiwan’s Ministry of Transport, the successor will be determined after May 20 when the new government of Taiwan starts in office.
