在国资委的号召下，七个国家部委包括国家发改委、财政部、工业和信息化部、交通运输部、商务部、海关总署、质检总局，联合发布声明进一步减少多余的航运费用。
这些部门将就不合理收费调查航运公司，港口和物流公司。
中国货主协会副会长蔡家祥称一些主要航运公司通过其垄断地位收取多余费用，需要得到管理。
根据声明，此举为了减轻进出口企业的负担，提供更公平的市场环境。
同日，邻国越南也表示其将努力减少额外费用
