San Francisco: The Parana river in Argentina has become a mass shipwreck in recent days with news of another grounding on one of South America’s largest rivers.
The bulk carrier Dubai Energy, owned by the UAE’s Emarat Maritime, became the third ship in recent days to run aground today on the river, at almost exactly the same point as the two other ships, near San Pedro. The Dubai Energy is fully loaded, heading down river from San Nicolas, and is still waiting to be refloated.
