Bibby Offshore has won a contract from an unnamed independent UK-based exploration and production (E&P) company to provide air diving and remotely operate vehicle (ROV) inspection and construction services at five of the company’s North Sea assets.
The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed, but work commenced in June and will be completed by the end of the year, said Bibby, who has provided services for the client previously.
The work itself will utilise Bibby’s construction support vessel Olympic Ares (pictured); its diving support vessel Bibby Topaz and its subsea support and construction vessel Olympic Bibby.
Bibby will use the vessels during the installation of a cathodic protection system on one platform, and to perform air diving services to perform inspection, repair and maintenance support at three other facilities.
The company will also carry out routine pipeline inspection surveys at all five assets in the North Sea.
“We place a huge emphasis on collaboration, which has led to us completing numerous high profile North Sea contracts throughout 2016, enabling our clients to achieve greater efficiency in this challenging market,” Fraser Moonie, Bibby Offshore’s COO, said in a release.
