Boardwalk rammer still not allowed to leave Cebu
The Unilink II has still not been allowed to depart southern Cebu as its owner has yet to come up with a concrete proposal to pay for damages caused by the ship ploughing into a boardwalk in Naga City nearly two weeks ago.
The ship, which dragged anchor on July 19, is owned by local firm Unlink Shipping Corporation. Its propeller is currently undergoing some repair work after the accident.
Unilink Shipping is now discussing how best to proceed with local politicians and the contractor who built the boardwalk.
