Acta Marine sets up French subsidiary

Dutch offshore vessel owner and operator Acta Marine has established a French subsidiary and opened a new office in Montoir de Bretagne with the aim to bolster its footprint in the local offshore wind market.

The new subsidiary, Acta Marine France, will facilitate the deployment of Acta Marine’s fleet in the region and provide access to nearby offshore wind farms such as Parc du Banc de Guérande project on which Acta Marine was chartered by GE Renewable Energy in 2022 for the commissioning of its turbines, and Fécamp and Courseulles wind farms on which Acta Marine will assist Siemens Gamesa with turbine commissioning scopes in 2024 and 2025.

Acta Marine France’s president, Nicolas De Boer, commented: “By opening this new office in Montoir de Bretagne, we are strengthening our commitment to the region and increasing our ability to provide our clients with the highest quality of service.”

The new office in France will be shared with Acta Marine’s long-term partner Alka Marine and allow the company to build up a strong local team, Acta Marine said in a statement.
