Apache extends Wood Group’s master service agreement in the North Sea

Apache Corp has extended Wood Group’s master service agreement (MSA) at its offshore oil and gas fields in the North Sea, effective immediately. The value of the contract extension was not disclosed.

The deal includes two one-year extension options for work at the fields, which comprise the Forties and Beryl areas, the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) pipeline and the onshore SAGE facility at St Fergus, Scotland.

Wood Group says it will continue to provide subsea engineering and consultancy services to support of Apache’s routine operation and maintenance works. The MSA was first signed in 2012.

The contract extension will also encompass detailed engineering for future subsea developments across all Apache’s North Sea portfolio, Wood Group said.

“We look forward to bringing Wood Group’s breadth of subsea consultancy and detailed engineering knowledge and expertise to support this key client in enhancing and optimising their current assets and effectively delivering future subsea developments in the North Sea,” Robin Watson, Wood Group’s chief executive, said in a release.
