Norwegian gas carrier operator Awilco LNG has secured refinancing for the company’s two LNG carriers WilForce and WilPride.
The Jon Skule Storheill-led company has sealed a deal with an unnamed Asian financial leasor which will allow it to buy the 2013-built 156,000 cu m vessels out of their current deal with China’s CCB Financial Leasing.
Avilco LNG said the new financing is at par value of the outstanding debt and structured similarly to the current financing but at improved terms.
The new sale and leaseback is expected to close in the first half of 2024.
