Benelux Overseas books gas carrier newbuilds in China

Benelux Overseas of Greece has signed up for the construction of two midsize gas carriers in China.

Brokers in Athens have linked Kostas Angelou’s firm to a pair of 48,000 cu m units at CSSC-affiliated Huangpu Wenchong.

The first ship is due for delivery in October 2026, while the second one will follow in the first half of 2027. No price has been revealed.

Benelux Overseas is listed on VesselsValue with 10 LPG carriers and two handysize tankers. In 2021, the company also booked two 40,000 cu m at Hyundai Mipo in South Korea with an option for an additional vessel.
