Blue Lines offloads aframax

Dubai-based owner Blue Lines Shipping continues to downsize its tanker fleet. According to broker sources, the company has sold its aframax tanker BLS Ability to Greek owner Avin International.

The 2002-built vessel was sold for a price of $9m.

In April, Blue Lines was reported to have sold its last MR tanker Bursa, making an exit from the MR sector.

The company’s fleet will be down to just one aframax tanker, BLS Advance, if this latest deal is completed.
