Singapore: BW Group’s newbuild spree continues with news from Seoul that the Singapore-based firm has ordered two 174,300 cu m LNG ships at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). BW is paying $414.19m for the pair which will be delivered in the first quarter of 2018.
The ships are likely destined for BW’s joint venture with Singaporean outfit Pavilion Energy, a Temasek Holdings venture.
Once delivered BW’s LNG fleet will hit 20 ships. [18/09/14]
