BW Offshore closes Abo FPSO extension

BW Offshore has finally agreed a long term extension for the lease and operation of FPSO Abo with Nigerian Agip Exploration, a subsidiary of Italy’s Eni.

Having been given a series of interim extensions, the FPSO has now been committed until the end of March 2018 with options until 2023.

The 1976-built FPSO has been operating offshore Nigeria in the Abo field since 2003.
