Charter deals for Swissco

Singapore: Mainboard-listed Swissco Holdings has secured charter contracts worth an aggregate of $7.17m.

The group secured two-year charter contracts from an unspecified UAE oil and gas firm for its two anchor handling tugs (AHTs), Swissco Superior and Swissco Singapore. The ships are to be deployed in West Africa.  The contracts come with extensions of up to four years each.

Swissco has also secured immediate short term contracts for two of its newly delivered vessels, Swissco Ruby and Swissco Neptune. Both the vessels are mobilised to go straight to the work sites currently.

Swissco Ruby is an AHTS while Swissco Neptune is a multipurpose work boat.

“We believe that chartering side will continue to see strong demand and with that background, we are focused on our vessel expansion and fleet renewal program to enhance our fleet capabilities,” said Alex Yeo, Swissco’s ceo.  [09/10/13]
