Shanghai: China Shipping Bulk Carrier, the bulk shipping division of state run China Shipping Group, have signed with Shanghai Dongfang International Investment Company and sister shipbuilding firm China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) for the construction of four 64,000dwt bulkers.
The vessels will be classified by CSS, and the first vessel will be delivered in May 2015.
Qiu Guoxuan, general manager of China Shipping Bulk Carrier said the signing is a response to the group company’s asset-light strategy, and the vessels will greatly improve the efficiency of the fleet. [11/04/14]
