Shanghai: China Merchants Energy Shipping has announced that, China VLCC, a subsidiary of the company has inked VLCC charter contracts with BP and Shell.
The two-year VLCC charter contracts are valued at approximately RMB360m in total, with BP and Shell chartering one VLCC each.
China VLCC is a joint venture established by China Merchants Energy Shipping and Sinotrans & CSC Group, the company’s VLCC fleet standing at 28 vessels as of the end of 2014. [10/02/15]
