Shanghai: China Merchants Engery Shipping (CMES) announced that a subsidiary of the company has signed a contract with Jiangmen Xinhui Shuangshui Shipbreaking & Steel Co for the dismantling of a 285,700 dwt VLCC which is currently 22 years old.
The price for the vessel is RMB82.04m. CMES ordered 10 new VLCCs in the beginning of 2013 and the deliveries will start from October 2014. [18/02/14]
