Cosco Shipyard bags $100m of new contracts

Shanghai: Cosco Shipyard has received a variety of orders. Its Dalian subsidiary has secured a contract from an unspecified Asian company to build four emergency response/rescue/field support vessels for delivery in the first half of 2016. Meanwhile, an unnamed European owner has signed with Cosco Guangdong Shipyard for a pair of PX121 platform supply vessels, also for 2016 delivery. This latter contract comes with options for two more vessels.

The six firm ship orders have a combined value of around $100m, according to a Cosco release.  [22/04/14]
