Cosco Shipyard wins orders worth $230m

Shanghai: Cosco Shipyard has bagged a brace of orders worth a combined $230m.

Cosco Qidong will build a floating accommodation unit (FAU) for an unspecified Singapore firm for delivery in early 2017. The buyer has also secured options for five additional FAUs.

Meanwhile, Cosco Dalian has bagged an option for an option for a 21,000 dwt module carrier from a European company who ordered at the yard a year ago. The ship will deliver in mid-2016.  [24/09/14]
