Hanoi: Local media in Vietnam link the Netherlands shipbuilding group Damen with Ha Long Shipbuilding, part of the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC), formely known as Vinashin.
Damen has already invested in a couple of other Vietnamese yards and is now looking at becoming a strategic investor in Ha Long Shipbuilding. Damen will assist Ha Long Shipbuilding in upgrading facilities in order to take on more high spec ship orders, management at the Vietnamese yard claimed. [25/06/14]
