Danish broker kickstarts commercial management business

A famous name in Danish broking circles has entered the commercial management business, snagging his first ship. Cornerstone Maritime has been founded by Simon Toft, whose career includes time with Maersk Broker as well as leading his own brokerage, Casos Shipping, over the past five years.

Cornerstone Maritime announced this week it has taken on its first ship for commercial management, the ice class tanker Ierax.

The company stated in a release it has strong expectations about further expansion in 2019 when it comes to tonnage as well as personnel.
