Dayang secures extensions for vessel trio from Petronas Carigali

Malaysia’s Dayang Enterprise has secured more work for three of its accommodation workboats from compatriot Petronas Carigali.

DESB Marine Services, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Dayang, won extensions for all three vessels.

According to a Bursa Malaysia filing, the value of the extended contracts is based on work orders issued by PCSB throughout the extended contracts. Work under the three extensions is already underway.

Petronas Carigali opted to keep the Dayang Zamrud vessel for another 279 days. The initial deal for the vessel started in February 2023 and was for 214 days with an option to extend up to 60 days.

The second vessel to get an extension was the Dayang Pertama. The extension will last 296 days and is in continuation of the deal Dayang won for the vessel back in March 2023. The first deal was for 129 days with a 60-day option.

The final deal was for the Dayang Berlian which saw its contract extended for 281 days. The initial deal was for approximately 207 days from the commencement date effective from February 17, 2023, with an option to extend up to 90 days.

Recently, Dayang won a work scope contract extension from Petronas for maintenance, construction, and modification services offshore Malaysia and the Sarawak Gas Area. The same deal was extended once again last month and is supposed to last until the end of the year.
