Deltamarin to design Libra FPSO

Singapore: Deltamarin has signed a contract to undertake the basic engineering of the FPSO conversion project for OOGTK Libra at Singapore’s Jurong Shipyard.

Deltamarin’s scope of work covers the marine part of the Navion Norvegia shuttle tanker conversion into the Libra FPSO.

The FPSO is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2016. Operations are due to start in late 2016, Deltamarin said in an exchange filing today.

The vessel is expected to be owned and operated by OOGTK and chartered to Petrobras.

The FSPO unit will serve the Libra pre-salt field in the ultra-deepwater section of Brazil’s Santos Basin.

OOGTK Libra is a 50/50 joint venture between Odebrecht Oil & Gas and Teekay Offshore. [28/10/14]
