Diana Shipping post-panamax charter extended by Cargill at reduced rate

Greek owner Diana Shipping has agreed an extension with Cargill International for the time charter contract for 2012-built post-panamax bulker Polymnia.

The new charter has commenced this month and is for a period of 11-13 months at a rate of $11,000 per day. Cargill was previously paying $16,000 per day for the vessel.

Diana Shipping says the charter will generate around $3.63m based on the minimum time charter period.
