DOF awarded new contract with Equinor

Norway’s DOF has won an engineering, preparation, removal, and disposal (EPRD) contract from compatriot energy giant Equinor Energy.

The contract covers the Heimdal field decommissioning works off Norway and includes the recovery and disposal of around 2,000 tonnes of subsea equipment.

Three DOF vessels will be deployed on two main campaigns between 2024 and 2028. Project management and engineering will be delivered by the company’s cessation team in Bergen, Norway.

The Oslo-listed company, which entered bankruptcy proceedings on Thursday, did not disclose the financial terms surrounding the deal.
