Doosan looks at Indonesia factory possibilities

Jakarta: As Indonesia seeks to boost its shipbuilding capacity many other Asian firms are looking to get in on the act. This has seen Samsung Heavy Industries of Korea linked with a possible yard acquisition in the archipelago (see today’s top story here) and also another Korean firm front up with plans. Doosan, a heavy equipment and marine diesel machinery maker, held discussions with ministers in Jakarta yesterday about the possibility of setting up a factory in the Southeast Asian nation.  [17/01/13]
