Dulam sells DSV for scrap

Dubai-based subsea contractor Dulam has sold its ageing dive support vessel Oceanic Installer for recycling in Sharjah, UAE.

Cash buyer Best Oasis reported the 1984-built ship has gone on an as-is basis for a price tag of $1.6m.

Dulam acquired the Ulstein Halto-built DSV from SBM Offshore in 2012 for close to $15m.

The 84 m long vessel, which came off contract with ONGC in India was prior to going to scrap widely advertised for hire in the UAE. Dulam operates one more DSV, the Aureus, also on contract with ONGC.
