Enesel offloads VLCC to Aeolos as newbuilds set to deliver

Greek owner Enesel has sold 2007-built VLCC Spyros, its only VLCC currently on the water.

The Andonis Lemos-led company has sold the vessel to Embiricos family controlled Aeolos Management, with the price quoted by brokers varying between $34.6m to $34.75m. VesselsValue puts the value of the ship at around $34.2m.

The sale marks only a temporary end to owning VLCCs for Enesel, as it currently has three VLCCs set to deliver this year from South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries.
