Equinor extends framework deal with PGS

Norway’s Equinor has exercised its option to extend the framework agreement with fellow seismic survey specialist PGS by two more years.

The deal, which covers 4D monitoring surveys on the Norwegian and UK continental shelf, will see PGS work on the Gullfaks and Gudrun fields during the 2023 summer season.

Equinor has one additional two-year option left under the agreement signed in March 2021.

Commenting on the contract extension, Rune Olav Pedersen, PGS president and CEO, said: “The confidence Equinor shows by extending the multiyear framework agreement confirms our strong position in the 4D market, the reliability of our Ramform vessels and the superior data quality provided by our GeoStreamer technology.”
